Ravnedans is looking for contemporary dance and performance works to be shown for festival edition no. 13 in Kristiansand, Norway. The Open call this year consists of three categories: Site, Scene and Pass it Forward. We hereby invite professional artists from within the field of dance- and performance to apply to show their work during the festival (Site or Scene). This year we also invite artists to recommend work you would like to pass forward to the festival (Pass it Forward).
Genre: Contemporary Dance / Performance Art
Who: Applicants must be professional stage performers.
Application language: Scandinavian or English
Applicants must be at a professional level, but we welcome a wide range of artists with regards to experience, age, background and needs.
We are normally privileged with a large number of applications. We therefore ask you to read the guidelines on the application form carefully. Applications that are incomplete will not be considered.
The festival covers:
Performance fees, Travel fees, Food, Accommodation
Category 1, SITE:
A finished work that takes place outside of the theatre, or work that the artist is interested in adapting for sites outside of the theatre. If you are interested in adapting the work, please also describe briefly how you imagine doing so. The proposal could also be a concept one is interested in developing for a particular place/ site in Kristiansand over a period of time. If you want to develop a concept please also describe as much as you can about the process, and how much time you would need.

Category 2, SCENE:
Works that are made for stage or scene- concepts.

Category 3, PASS IT FORWARD:
A work that sparked an obsession, a show that stayed with you, and maybe even showed up in your dreams. This year we want to invite artists to put forward works they know, have seen or take a particular interest in. It is a work you want more people to see and experience or an artist you want to see gain further audiences. It could be someone you know, or someone you know of.
Artists are welcome to pass it forward even if you are not applying to any of the other categories.

Short description of reason for recommending this work, or this artist
Link to video, if possible (trailer, teaser, full work)
Contact information, if possible.
