OPEN CALL FOR RAVNEDANS 2020
For: the outdoor walking performance by NORDLYS at Odderøya

Ravnedans is searching for choreographic works for our festival edition nr. 11. This year Ravnedans is collaborating with NORDLYS to create a walking performance at Odderøya, as a part of the festival program. The chosen works will be entwined by guided walks in between each piece, put together by NORDLYS artistic team. The performance will take place on the 10th or 12th of July 2020.
We hereby invite professional artists from Nordic Countries within the field of dance and performance to apply. The Open Call is for shorter solo and duet works that will be part of the site specific walking performance at Odderøya. We are searching for finished works from artists that have interest in adapting and/or transforming their piece for a given site at Odderøya, and wants to do it in conversation with representatives from Ravnedans and NORDLYS. For this reason we are also interested in hearing how you imagine to adapt and/or transform the work.

NORDLYS is a nordic collective by dance artists My Grönholdt (SE), Julie Rasmussen (NO) and Tine Østergaard (DK). They work as curators, artistic directors, choreographers, performers and they create site-specific walking performances with nordic dance artists.
NORDLYS emerged in 2014 and has created 4 festival productions. Two in Copenhagen (DK) and two in Manila (PH), in collaboration with P-Noise Festival.

Professional stage performers from the Nordic countries or with a Nordic affiliation only. We especially encourage young artists to apply. Applications that are not from a Nordic country/affiliation will not be considered.

The applications will be read by an artistic council consisting of Tine Østergaard, Julie Rasmussen and My Grönholdt from NORDLYS.
We are normally privileged with a large number of applications. We therefore ask you to read the guidelines on the application form carefully. Applications that do not follow the guidelines and has not filled out the complete application form are not guaranteed to be considered.

INFORMATION
The festival does hosting mostly in apartments and houses, and you will most likely be living together with other artists involved in the festival.
You will hear back from us before Christmas. The festival is now applying for the last fundings for this specific concept and we will normally be ready to sign final contracts during April - Mai when our budget is final.
