RESONANCE er et pågående eksperiment av kunstner André Tribbensee sammen med danse- og performancekunstnerne Maggi Asbjørnsen og Mathilde Hirth, som utforsker flere dimensjoner av kommunikasjon.

Med utgangspunkt i sosiologen Hartmut Rosas resonansteori og deres eget kunstneriske konsept beveger samarbeidspartnerne seg utover det som forstås og oppfattes som tilgjengelig, og bruker en metodikk som søker å skape transformativ relasjon mellom utøverne og deres verden på fysiske, sosiale og metafysiske nivåer.

RESONANCE følger ikke lineær logikk, men utfordrer forventninger og tradisjonelle kunstneriske hierarkier. Vi vil gi slipp, og bebo en tredje struktur, et «plasma», som gjør det mulig for impulser å migrere mellom kunstnernes sinn, deres fortid og vår fysiske tilstedeværelse i livet, i møte med Ravnedans og dets publikum.

Samarbeidet vil presentere prosjektet i en uforutsigbar tilstand på et gitt tidspunkt torsdag 18. juni kl. 15:00. Stedet for møtet og påfølgende samtale vil bli kunngjort på kort varsel.

André Tribbensee er en Kristiansand-basert multimediekunstner, kurator og foreleser. Med bakgrunn fra visuell og konseptuell kunst arbeider han i dag med dokumentarfilm, lydlandskap og fotografi innenfor visuell og scenekunst. André har lenge vært opptatt av kunstens transformative potensial og dens relevans i liv og samfunn. Langvarige samarbeid med visuelle og sceniske kunstnere, musikere og forskere, initiativer som Temporary Academy i 2014, hans forsknings- og undervisningsarbeid knyttet til konfliktsoner, som på Lesvos-øya mellom 2016–19, Det Parallelle Universitetet i Kristiansand, samt hans pågående relasjonelle kunstprosjekt RESONANCE, er eksempler på dette.

Lokale Arbeidsvisninger
Under Ravnedans deler tre lokale kunstnere av sine arbeidsprosesser. Dette er en mulighet for kunstnerne å teste ideer, å arbeide foran et publikum, og å åpne opp for tilbakemeldinger og refleksjoner rundt arbeidet. 

Hver visning avsluttes med en samtale med publikum, moderert av koreograf Louis Schou-Hansen, hvor kunstnerne har mulighet til å stille spørsmål til publikum som kan ta dem videre i sin kunstneriske prosess. 

Velkommen til et innblikk i hva som rører seg i Kristiansands scenekunstfelt, og til uhøytidelige samtaler om skapende arbeid.

    RESONANCE is an ongoing experiment by conceptual artist André Tribbensee with dance- and performance artists Maggi Asbjørnsen and Mathilde Hirth, exploring multiple dimensions of communication.

    Drawing on sociologist Hartmut Rosa’s resonance theory and their own artistic concept, the collaborators move beyond what is understood and seen as accessible, utilising a methodology that seeks to achieve transformative relationships between the performers and their world on physical, social, and metaphysical levels.

    Resonance doesn’t follow linear logic, but challenges expectations and traditional artistic hierarchies. We will surrender, inhabiting a third structure, a "plasma," allowing impulses to migrate between the artists' minds, their past, and our physical presence in life, when meeting Ravnedans and its audience.

    The collaborators will present the project in an unpredictable state at a given time on Thursday, June 18th at 3:00 PM.
    The site for the encounter and a following discussion will be announced at short notice. 

    Artists
    Maggi Asbjørnsen is a dance artist exploring the forces that shape embodied aliveness. Her practice spans stage works, site-responsive projects, and immersive participatory experiences. In her performances, the body moves through tension and resistance toward moments of release and emergence. Movement takes shape through alert presence and physical negotiation. In these moments, resonance becomes tangible, a shared vibration that invites us to sense what in us is waiting to move.

    Mathilde Hirth is a dance and performing artist based in Kristiansand. She has a theatre education from England and a master's degree in fine arts from University of Agder with experience in contemporary dance, contact improvisation and Butoh. In her artistic work, Mathilde explores dance as form, seeking to expand the framework for what dance can be. She works process- oriented, across artistic disciplines and has an ambition to create a sensual movement practice with a greater presence in the human and material world we are a part of.

    André Tribbensee is a Kristiansand based multimedia artist, curator and lecturer. Coming from the field of visual and conceptual arts, he is currently working with documentary film, soundscape and photography in the fields of visual and performing arts. André has long been interested in transformative potentials of arts and its relevance in life and society. Long term collaborations with visual and performing artists, musicians and scientists, initiatives like Temporary Academy in 2014, his research and educational work related conflict zones, such as on Lesbos Island between 2016-19, Det Parallelle Universitetet in Kristiansand, and his ongoing relational art project RESONANCE are examples for this.

  • During Ravnedans, three local artists share insights into their creative processes. This is an opportunity for the artists to test ideas, work in front of an audience, and open their practice to feedback and reflection.

    Each presentation concludes with a conversation with the audience, moderated by choreographer Louis Schou-Hansen, where the artists have the opportunity to ask questions that may help move their artistic process forward.
