OPEN CALL

The Open Call has been at the heart of Ravnedans since the very beginning. It is one of the ways we curate the festival program and discover new artistic voices within contemporary dance and performance.

More than an application process, the Open Call is a meeting place - an invitation to connect with artists, works, and perspectives new to us, to form new artistic relationships and connections. We are continuously inspired by expanding our understanding of live art and what art can be.

We warmly welcome applications from artists working across forms, practices, and perspectives and would love to hear from you!

The Open Call is announced every two years on our website and social media channels.

Next Open Call: To be announced in spring 2027 for the 2028 festival

We are fortunate to receive a large number of applications each year, often 200-300, and our time is primarily focused on reviewing these as part of the festival programming process. As a result, we have limited capacity to respond to proposals submitted outside of our open call. We therefore encourage everyone to follow our newsletter for updates on upcoming open call dates.

You are always welcome to get in touch, but please note that we cannot guarantee that we will have the time or capacity to review proposals submitted at other times.

You can subscribe to our newsletter to get updated info about the festival by filling out this simple form.
